Computer Collision Investigations is an independent training provider. We specialize in Cad Zone software products with electronic measuring devices ie; Total Stations and LTI Laser mapping devices.
We have trained numerous agencies in the Southwest Region. Recent agencies trained in Crashzone and Pocketzone mapping have been, National City PD (CA), Cochise SO (AZ), CHP San Jose Office, Washoe SO (NV) and Henderson PD (NV). Recent agencies trained in Crimezone and Pocketzone mapping have been, Tucson PD (AZ), Downey PD (CA) Alhambra PD (CA) and Torrance PD (CA)
George Maglaras is a current police officer for a major Southern California Municipal Police Department. He has over 25 years experience as a uniformed officer. He has worked at their Traffic Division for the past 15 years. He is a previous instructor at the San Diego County Regional Police Academy, teaching basic, intermediate and advanced traffic collision investigation. He still teaches collision investigation using computers and how to utilize the "CARS" program. He has instructed over 100 officers at his agency in collision investigation and scene documentation using Crash Zone and
Pocket Zone with LTI Lasers and a Nikon Total Station. His subject matter at the police academy was exclusively mathematics review and equation application. He was also the lead instructor for the Physics Lab. George has a Master Instructor rating with Cad Zone teaching Crash Zone, Crime Zone and
Pocket Zone software's. He has used there software exclusively since 2000. George is a member of several Collision Investigators Professional Groups, including "SATAI and the "ARC Network".
He has been certified as a collision reconstructionist since 1994 and has testified in court as an expert in collision reconstruction.
George is also a member of the Traffic Advisory Panel for Laser Technology Inc. This panel assist LTI in the development of new products for law enforcement agencies. He has also assisted in the testing of new devices because of his expertise in the area of collision investigation.
